Eharmony is one of the most popular dating websites in the US. They have a patented compatibility match software, which makes finding not just a date, but a true love match much more likely. The compatibility matching software matches you not so much on interests as on values, which is what tends to make the matches more likely to end in long term relationships. E Harmony, as you might have guessed, is not geared toward the casual dater, but rather those looking for a long term relationship.
You don’t search and choose based on what you want with E Harmony. Instead, you take their personality quiz, which is quite lengthy, and then they show you your matches. You’ll get up to 10 matches per week. Contact is limited at first, and communication is tightly controlled in the early stages. However, recently they have added a feature called “fast track”. If you and your match both agree, your communications can move along at a faster than normal pace.
The site does allow you to join for free, take the quiz and view your matches. But, you’ll need a paid membership to contact those matches. The site is a bit more expensive to join than many other popular dating sites.
