Each month, we try to point you to some of the best and brightest on the web. Today, our approach is a little different. We’re definitely pointing you to a very up and coming website, but it’s a far cry from the other sites we’ve explored.

Despair.com offers some of the funniest posters and other items we’ve ever seen. Offered as “the cure for hope” these posters are the antithesis of very popular “Successories” posters that have been gracing the walls of our offices for years.

Some of my personal favorites from Despair.com include:

“Minds are like parachutes. Just because you’ve lost yours, doesn’t mean you can borrow mine.”

“Tradition: Just because you’ve always done it that way doesn’t mean it’s not incredibly stupid.”

“Irresponsibility: No single raindrop believes it is to blame for the flood.”

“Failure: When your best just isn’t good enough.”

And, my very favorite:

Consulting: If you’re not part of the solution, there’s good money to be made in prolonging the problem.”

The posters that contain these, and many other great quotes, also contain beautiful images, much like Successories posters. In fact, you may be able to get by with having one in your office for a while, because it’s unlikely that anyone will take note of the verbiage right away!
